ShamansDance is a woman-owned and Latino-owned business. Founders María Mar and Corazón Tierra are two professional artists with more than 40 years of combined experience in theatre, dance theatre, visual arts and professional writing, both in the fiction and non-fiction genre. They are also experts in the field of personal growth through the arts. María Mar and Corazón Tierra underwent a 10-year training as contemporary shamans using the arts to achieve personal freedom. During this training they developed unique systems and philosophies that are the trademark of ShamansDance. They integrate the spiritual knowledge and personal power tools into our beautiful performances and inspiring books to help you reach you full potential and live creatively.
Like the shamans of old, María Mar and Corazón Tierra dance and enact stories that take you into a magical quest for your hidden memories, lost dreams and personal power. Book Beyond the
Page allows you to read our fictional story that contain the spiritual
principles and empowerment tools of The ShamansDance Way. This is our unique
system to help you walk from pain to power into your Dream. As you read the
book, we help you to engage in creative activities that manifest its
spiritual principles in your life. We do this through interactive art
performances, storytelling and other interactive events, as well as
internet events and products.
Through our art and our integrated network of services and products we help you and your family to live an inspired and creative life and to reach your full potential. As women our unique systems are based on the Female Way of Knowing. We have several Creative Collections that allow you as a woman to awake, nurture and sustain the Female Face of Power in your life. As Latinas and Caribbean women, we nurture diversity in children and their families and help families live creatively. We help women, as well as young girls to free themselves from shaming body image distortions and eating disorders, so that they can claim their bodies as the free territory of their existence.
